The company's mission is to develop, create, manufacture, and bring to the market innovative, efficacious, safe, and cost-effective therapeutic products for human disease through new drug research and development, thus improving the health and quality of human life. To achieve this goal, PharmaEssentia's strategy is to focus on two business tracks:

1. Revenue driving projects; production of higher priced products that take advantage of Taiwan's proven manufacturing advantages. These products include new pharmaceutical ingredients (NPI) and their intermediates, new dosage formulation services, as well as technical support.

2. Value driving projects; a longer term focus on New Drug Research and Development (NDRD), specifically PharmaEssentia's 'PEG 5' biologics.
